Need rock installation or a color change?

Maintaining a stone landscape bed, in my experience, warrants less overall effort than a mulch landscape bed. (And that’s a really good thing because overhauling [or refreshing] a stone landscape bed is a much heavier job!) For me, I’d say I address the stone beds about every 5 years, whereas refreshing each mulch bed is more like once every 2 years or so. Over the years, your landscape decorative rock starts deteriorating and requires to be refreshed due to the following;

Type of material - Sandstone or Granite. Granite will hold up better over the years, while sandstone dissolves.

Age - The lifespan for any decorative landscape rock is between 7 and 10 years.

Overwatering - Overwatering in the fall and winter is the cause for landscape decorative rock to dissolve and disappear.

High traffic - Traffic from humans, vehicles, or pets can cause the rock to move and create bald spots in landscape areas.

Weather damage - Rain can cause your rock to run off and create missing areas. The sun can make any rock change color and lose its bright look.

Landscape Renovation - You might not like the color or size of your rock that you currently have, and would like a new modern style.

Before you think of new rock...

 Another very important investment to inspect before installing rock is the age and condition of your drip irrigation system lines. Since they are buried underground, installing new rock would make it difficult to repair or replace them.  You wouldn't want to destroy your rock investment by having to dig up areas to repair leaks that could have been avoided.

Landscape damages by installing new rock...

 We have a team with years of experience in rock installation and will ensure that no damage is done to your existing landscape design. Installing new rock will not damage your existing plants. We start by leveling and grading the existing rock, then haul out any excess rock and debris. All work is done by manpower using machinery, which will create damage to your soil compaction, causing weeds to pop up more easily.
